Avem o zicală: Cizmarul nu are cizme, care poate fi aplicată și în cazul designerilor de bijuterie, care nu au bijuterii, cum ar fi în cazul meu. :) Am cumpărat trei briolete de topaz, în nuanța mea preferată de albastru, cu două săptămâni înaintea nunții, ca să-mi fac un pandantiv micuț și niște cercei. E atât de ușor să lucrez pentru alții și atât de greu să găsesc designul perfect pentru mine, care pe deasupra, să se și potrivească cu rochia de mireasă. Așa că m-am tot gândit cum să le folosesc, ce să fac cu ele. Răspunsul a venit cu câteva zile înaintea nunții, când am scăpat o brioletă pe jos, și s-a spart. Ok, am schimbat planul - fără pandantiv atunci. :P Cum las totul pe ultima clipă, am realizat că ziua următoare mă căsătoresc și nu am bijuterii! Așa că, la ora 11 în acea seară, mi-am terminat cerceii și nu vă închipuiți ce bucuroasă (și obosită!) am fost!
(Nota: Fotografa noastră mi-a și spus că poate mă vede la restaurant, stând la masă, și lucrând la ei. Nu a fost departe de adevăr! :) )

We have a saying, that the shoemaker doesn't have shoes. It can also be applied to jewelry designers who don't have jewelry (in my case). :) I bought three tiny topaz gems, in my favorite shade of blue, two weeks before my wedding, so I can make myself a small pendant and some earrings. It's so easy to work for others, and so hard to find the perfect design for me and especially, to go with the dress. So I kept thinking what should I do with them, how to use them. The answer came a few days before the wedding, when I dropped one of the gems and it cracked. Ok, so we need a new plan - no pendant then. :P Leaving everything on the last minute, I realized that the next day I'm getting married and I don't have jewelry to wear! So, at 11 p.m that night, I've finished my earrings and I couldn't be happier!
(Note: Our photographer told me that she can imagine me sitting at the table, at our wedding party, and still working on them. She wasn't far from the truth! :) )
